The applications
Blanking is a cold cutting operation of metal sheet or other materials, which allows to separate a certain flat part from the metal sheet, so as to obtain – quickly and inexpensively – new parts that can be used for industrial production.
The blanking works through the use of a punch and a die, specially designed to manage the planned machining, inserted into a mold so as to allow the cutting operation. The whole process is cold and without any other intervention, it can be manual or automated.
From mechanics to automotive, blanking is part of many industrial productions and it is often one of the starting processes, with application in the most disparate sectors, thanks to the reduced costs and the immediacy of processing
